Rat Dreams and Me

tired.

i went to bed last night at 3am, and slept like a LOG until 3pm today!

i had some great dreams:

dream #1)
My rat, Peaches, was walking near my kitchen sink and he FELL down into the GARBAGE disposal!
I managed to pull him out quickly and he had a few cuts and for a second i thought he was fine... until I saw his back right foot was cut off! It was disgusting and terrifying. I quickly took him to the hospital and tried to get him help.

Was on an all girl football team that was having practice. i was sucking very hard at it. I kept missing the balls and didn't want to run.
At one point they were throwing out bags of Wendy's as footballs and telling us not to open them and eat the burgers inside. As they were telling us that, I realized I had some Wendy's already in my mouth.
Then i won "Most Valuable Player" award at the end when I won a spitting contest.

Then i wondered into a swimming pool where they were having relay contests and i tried to win that too, but lost. At the award ceremony i realized I needed a ride home, and I was staying that night at Barak Obama's house, because he was my cousin. (I keep having recurring dreams that I am related to him)

it's 10pm now and i am ready for bed again.

Back from my wonderfully blissful Californication trip.
I got to see art, the ocean, and my friend. The 2009 Mustang I rented wasn't so bad either!

I returned to work today to lay-offs in the office.
Luckily the guy i didn't like here in Engineering got canned, and the temp i really like is still with us.

They let go all temps on Wednesday, then on Thursday laid off 16 full-timers.
Cigna mental health is here to do 2 workshops on "Positive Coping Skills" this afternoon.
I'm having mine by going out to lunch with Cliff.

i'm surprised i'm up so early.
i smell breakfast cooking downstairs.
i have to pack today.
leaving tomorrow for 5 days in LA.
I'm hoping to see the Zoo , go to the Farmers Market, and then hit the MOCA.
I originally planned to spend most of my days on the beach, but since we got the pool this summer, i think i have had enough sun.

i'm so excited about the Moca- i can't stand it. from what i read it's comprised of 3 buildings, and i can't figure out what collection is where, so i guess I'll just show up at the main one and figure it all out from there. The collection is mind blowing. i'm exceptionally excited to see Richard Diebenkorn, Jim Dine, and Eric Fischl.

Talked to my boss this morning.
And all i have to say is... the words "big raise" were mentioned to me!! Christ- i am so happy.
Reviews are coming up and I had to fill out so many damn forms, i was getting worried that they weren't going to throw me anything this year- but now i have some hope!

Then Matt and i came up with an idea to start a "Breakfast Club" so we can have some good eats in the morning once a week here. so I sent off an email to the department with this graphic:

The little birdy on my lawn didn't make it.
sad.

Olive made a trip to the vet. she keeps barfing. Doctor said it was because she was "stopped up". So i was sent home with a "cat enema". yay!

I administered said enema in my bathroom last night, and Oh Boy! that went over like a fart in a space-suit!
But the doctor done good , and everything came out just fine, and i am hoping to come home tonight to a much happier Olive.

I got on Ebay for $170.00 But STILL.
I am so Friggin excited to have this INSANE piece of equipment between my fingers to blow my hair out all straight and smooth! yayayayyayyaayy!!!

It's the same dryer my girl uses at Rizzeri Salon- I told her how i can never get my hair to look the same as when she does it- so she said it's all about the hairdryer. They tried to sell me one at the salon- but wanted $320.00 for the Evolution and $185 for the Feather Weight. bastards!

The beginning of the curses...

it's 'Animal Kingdom' tonight in my front yard.
first- this poor baby bird keeps falling out of it's nest onto my front walk way..

we put it back in the nest 3 times and it keeps on either jumping out or the parents are kicking it out.. not sure.

THEN there were like 500 baby FROGS on my porch. they looked like baby jumping beans. all about pea size and then a jumbo kermit frog is in my pool.
just waiting for the pestilence to ensue any moment now.
