a big sigh of relief...

it is Wednesday afternoon.
i am stressed as hell - but am still on the best presidential high.

so happy for many reasons.....
happy to have a new president i am proud of.
happy not to have to be stressed over the negative campaign race anymore.
and most of all - elated that i do not have to hear/see/read about sarah palin.
i always liked mccain.. i'm sad he had to say some crazy ass things... but who knows what he was going through.

CHANGE.
on the eve of finding out who will be our next president, I found out that they were changing who i report to at work. I now report to my boss's boss. They said they did not think the 'dotted line' was efficient- so they just have me now as a direct report to the head manager.
i also know my boss was tired of being micro-managed by her boss in all her decisions with me.
This is OK with me- but i did really like my old boss, and i know for a fact this new boss will be a huge challenge for me. i just have to keep telling myself that i am tough- and i can take it.

STRESS.
i am having thanksgiving, christmas and new years eve at my house this year.
enough said.

LOVE.
in 2 days i will have a new Husqvarna Viking Platinum Royal 755 Q Quilt Sewing Machine shipped to my house. i have never laid eyes on a Husqvarna before- but i am already in love. i can't WAIT to get my hands on the manual and start sewing!!!!! i just can't wait. i truly hope this new machine will help enable me to reach some of my long-time lofty artistic goals of designing beautiful quilts. the idea of being able to professionally put together fabric makes my heart sing.
